Description
"The importance of school census records, when available, is not to be underestimated as they provide an annual full-name census of families with children in each Oklahoma county. Most records (but not all) are located somewhere in the county courthouse and cover the years 1912 to the 1960's ... The OGS [Oklahoma Genealogical Society] recognized the importance of these records and initiated a Centennial project to research school census records in all 77 Oklahoma counties"--P. 2. Their project has resulted in the publication of this index.
