Description
This charming story and beautiful illustrations bring the fairy world to life. When Chloe, a fairy whose good-natured clumsiness is legendary among her fairy friends, dreams of Lily, a lonely girl across town, she sets off on an adventure to help. Lily has just moved to a new school, where she struggles without any friends and with the added difficulty of dealing with Nick, the class bully, who seems to have singled her out. Chloe joins Lily at school and tries to help her make new friends. Along the way, Chloe realizes Nick is not a bully at all, but instead is just as lonely as Lily. Chloe uses her clumsiness to her advantage as she devises a messy scheme to help Lily find friendship. Chloe, The Clumsy Fairy, is written with delightful rhyme and rhythm and has been illustrated in watercolor by Lester Lee. This charming story combined with beautiful illustrations brings the fairy world to life with vibrant detail. Chloe is one of seven Summermeadow fairy dolls coming this fall in stores and online. Katie Watkins, a former technical writer, writing teacher and corporate writing trainer, now spends her days racing cars, digging in mud and building block towers with her three young sons. She holds both a B.A. and M.A. in English from Brigham Young University. She lives in Orange County, California. Lester Lee, full-time artist and educator, has won numerous local and national awards for his paintings and sculptures. He has illustrated several children’s books and book covers, and he sells hundreds of pieces of fine art watercolors each year. He received a B.F.A. from Utah State University and an M.A. from Brigham Young University. He is a retired high school art educator and currently resides in Clarkston, Utah.
